anyone remember the first real snake encounter, hands on that is?It would take to long for the entire story but my freind left us in charge of feeding his huge bp while out of town and that sucka got out.it was like a snl skit,3 hours of him on the phone yelling at us to just grab it and the 2 of us yelling at eachother to grab it,no seriously dude just get it so we can go,shut up you grab it,hell no!

Well, I was in a small animal park/museum for community service, and the first snake I was trained to hold was a california mountain king snake, and it was pretty easy. But I'll admit, I was afraid of being bitten.

burmese python when i was nine. it was my brothers and completely tame, and I wasn't alone of course lol.

Catching garter snakes when I was 5. Me and my big bro who was 9 at the time, along with one or two of his friends would go into the woods and and catch different types of garters, and then catch frogs and little fish from the small creek near by and feed them to the garters, then a couple days later let them go. I'm a garter snake catching master!

My friends and little brother and I would turn over rocks and catch Eastern worm snakes. My mom let us keep a few of them and they ended up laying some eggs...we even got babies out of them :). I was six I think. man those were the days....

Man... Remembering all the stories of when I was little of catching snakes, frogs, skinks, and so on make me want to go out and catch some right now! It's a pretty rainy day... I bet I could find some newts, and maybe some garters out for a drink. Haha. This summer I'll probably be out turning over logs. :headbang2:ROFL:

Hmmm probably an eastern coral snake in our backyard when I was little. Our corgi/shepherd mix (dont ask... LOL) started barking but I dont remember what happened to it.

However, I did see a large garter snake and a baby water today hiking in Great Falls!
