first try at cichlid tank

So, I just put in 4 firemouth and 2 melanochromis auratus. Turn out I have no idea what I am doing. They've been in the tank for about 24 hours now with no problems. Should I take out the m a's and get a couple of sa ca cichlids or should I just see what happens? I guess I should do a little research next time. lol

i would get rid of the melanochromis auratus. are u trying to get a pair of firemouth?

If they breed they breed, but it doesn't really matter to me. I just like the way they look. Thanks for the advice. I'm leaning towards taking the ma's back for something else.

i would take the ma's back and go with some other central americans
