I am going to do a log on my betta, i have a 55g waiting to be setup but a 2.5g betta tank is all the temporary housing committee permits.
So, this is the first fish i have owned in over 5 months, i am going crazy. So i got a betta and a 2.5g tank with some other stuff.
i will do this with other fish too btw.
Day 1:
I went and looked at the selection of bettas, i was planning to get one for my dads bday, but i would actually becaring for it, so i picked a red one, red dragon
He was in very squalid conditions, small 0.25g tank with murky water, carpet of un eaten food and fed goldfish flakes.
I set the tank up and brought him home, the whole process took like an hour, seems like the smaller you go the longer it takes! I put him in and he was constantly flaring, i put pieces of paper to cover up the back/sides of the tank, he stopped flaring and is now exploring the nooks and crannies and enjoying his blood worms/pellet diet.
I know these arent monster fish but they are great if you live in a small apartment or something, at the moment i am in temporary housing and my 55g is sitting empty, but the betta is all my parents will allow because we are moving into our permanent house in 3-4 weeks
More updates~
