Hello and thanks for reading! I have a maturing mayan cichlid (maybe between 8 months to a year old) and he has been showing less colors lately and has been more sensitive to things like light and sounds. If something gets too close to the tank he will hide but he has always been fearless to these kinds of things for the most part. Ihave no idea what has caused this I did a deep clean like two weeks ago and even arranged the tank slightly different but all went well I thought I dont know hat I am missing but if it helps I willrecord video tomorrow if he still acts this way. Any help is appreciated thanks again!

When you did the deep clean and rearranged the objects in the aquarium that makes the Mayan feels it's in a new environment. Give time to adjust .

Thank you I thought so just wasnt sure cause at times he seems happy 30% of the day he is swimming with colors and real curious of whats going on outside of the tank and the other 70% of the day he is less colorful and skiddish to movement like if place something in front of the tank he runs and hides. Heres a link to a video I recorded of him while he was behaving "normal" this also was taken after I did the "deep clean" and made changes to some tbings around the tank.
