As silly as it might sound i actually think fish get addicted to it like its crack lol. My green terror wont eat anything else but carnivore pellets or krill. Ive tried to feed him a bunch of other foods and he just bites it then spits it out. I used to feed him cichlid gold and he would eat it no problem until i got a catfish and got carnivore pellets. I dont care that he eats them just as long as hes eating, i just think its weird lol

My Jag was the same way with massivore, but I got tired of the mess. So, once I was out, I went cold turkey on the Jag, and switched straight to shrimp pellets. She didn't eat at first, but after a few days she got hungry.. :)

My bichirs never touch bloodworms again after tasting those pellets

I'm in a similar boat. I gave my EBJD some blood worms, and now he refuses to eat flakes. I'm too afraid to try and force him to eat flakes due to how fragile they are.

Yeah, once fish get on Hikari it seems hard to get them off it... although a little fasting period normally gets them onto alternate foods pretty quickly...

My fish seem to get addicted to ANYTHING I feed too much...I'm trying to get them on a variety so I starve em for 3 days and feed something new :D

If your fish won't eat anything else, just don't feed it until it accepts the new food. If it doesn't eat within 3 days (unlikely) feed a little bit of the old food and try again. Hungry healthy fish aren't going to starve themselves to death. Obviously be more cautious if health concerns are an issue.

oh trust me hes healthy just take a look at him! doesnt it make u wanna look at it!
