has any one here attemped to carry fish on board a plane scine the whole liquid explosives incident and the limitations on carrying on liquids.

im here im mayland and have been looking around the fish stores and drooling over the plethera of species i dont het in cali, marbled hatchets, mormyrus kannume, ropefish, a pair of some wierd psuesodras species, hundreds of differnt kinds of corys ive never even seen before.

i want to buy it all and bring it back but dont know how the airlines would like that. im flying on united airlines.....i used to do it all the time, but that was pre-911 mumbo jumbo

im gonna call them tommarow and see what they say, but i was wondering if any of u tried this simce the new restrictions.

not sure but seeing somthing alive is swimming in it maybe it would be ok i would call and ask can i take my pet fish on board lol

i'm planning on flying my 5G with my betta and oto off to college with me, so i'm planning for this, too.

I beleive it will be allowed by them, as the fish swimming around in the water most liekly comfirn that it is safe.

Tell them its a Betta Dynamitus.

yeah if they do allow it. i can see you only getting a couple bags onboard. but who knows till you ask somebody :) prolly a guy/gal at the accual secruity gate. but you might have to have some sort of proof what they are. or else they could take them for contraband of unknown illegal livestock... :( or some crap like that.

Check with the airlines first per raised terrorist threats they're starting to not allow any pets on the plane. Most airlines have a cargo service & for approx $50-60 you can ship about 100lbs same day. Good luck.
