So I was thinking the other day how do outdoor fish survive lightning?

If there in the direct path they don't. But lightning rarely hits a lakes surface, as there are usually trees around it to draw off the charge and direct the light towards them.

Oh gotcha.
Has anyone ever had any fish die from lightning?

I remember someone had a koi that got hit by lightning, and survived.

I always wonder what happens, when lightning hit the Ocean.
U think a bunch fishes will die?

When lighting hits water the power behind it scatters in the water. A couple fish with in five feet might die but thats about it.
