My bullhead has suddenly stopped eating and I was wondering if I could tempt it with some salmon caviar. However, the caviar is meant for human consumption.

There are two ingredients that I am not sure about whether they would harm my fish or not. I will rinse the eggs before feeding if these ingredients are ok.

It contains salmon roe, salt, olive oil, and sorbic acid. The latter two ingredients I am not too sure about whether it will harm my fish or not.

It would probably be ok, but try market shrimp first, if you already haven't.

I wouldn't because cavier is extremely laden with salt, even if you rinse it. Have you tried krill or anything like that? Mine won't turn it down.

you know it was pretty funny my Senegal bichir would chomp up bologna when I had my 90 gallon.... that is the wierdest thing my fish would eat. Convicts also ate tid bits off the bologna.

Ok, I tried it today. I rinsed the caviar in water and they went POP!

I put some into the tank. The feeders had a great time with them. The bullhead didn't really like them though.

Try earthworms

What is the bullhead's normal staple? What did it stop eating? Try algae wafers or live food. My yellow bullhead can't pass up worms or injured minnows.

my bullhead IS eating. I thought that giving him some salmon eggs would be a treat.

He ate them. He didn't take them at first because they were still salty.

If my bullhead is hungry (which is pretty much all the time) he will eat anything thats edible.
