i just finished reading the sticky of the diseases and what i see applies to a few different ones though.

for one i have added no new fish in the past month. i bang out large waterchanges as i have a python.

a green terror my friend gave me had white poop that was trailing constantly and it ended uup dying. i read that is an intestional parasite.

my baby parrot cichlid has visible ich but also a tumor on it's side.

my old parrot cichlids' HITH seems to have gotten worse.

my midas is just resting on his side but when i come to the tank he tries to attack me like regular.

ALL of my fish are flashing.

but what is weird is that the fish being hit the hardest in the tank are the cichlids...yet fragile fish such as loaches and my knife are doing alot better.

i think i am going to go get copper today and see if it destroys the disease(s) whatever they may be.

the problem is the tank is somewhat large so im assumging i have to buy multiple bottles.

and i have to remove the carbon from filter right?>

i cant beging to say how much this sucks

what are your water parameters? are all these fish in the same tank?

to treat the ick, i would raise your tank temp to about 86 degrees and add aquarium salt. add air lines to add extra oxygenation since they will need it with the increase in temp .

HITH is usually treated with good quality food, vitamins and very frequent waterchanges.. it is curable too.

the white stringy poop makes me think hexamita-an internal parasite. i wouldnt treat the tank with copper, but i would use metronidazole.

just something to note, the disease called "head and lateral line erosion' or (HLLE) disease can be confused for HITH-and hexamita and HLLe are often found together. your old parrot may have HLLE instead of HITH. at least, thats what i would believe.

the best way to treat HLLE is vitamins, good quality food, waterchanges. and guess what? metronidazole! lol..

you could try copper, but i would try the metronidazole, increase temp, salt and aeration. best of luck to your guys! i hate it when things go wrong-it all happens at once!
