hi all ive been noticing that my fish have like an itch or something not all of them have but some do im guessing its an internal parasite but im not seeing signs of anything im going to do a 50% percent water change tomorrow and add some cycle to see if that helps but not sure wat to treat them with since all i see is scratching on the gravel what would you guys suggest i do for this ?? any advice would be appreciated

water changes mate, do lots of them. after about a week, make the verdict of internal parasites.

it could be just the PH, ammonia burn or nitrates that are making them itch. test for this. good luck, bro.

Get API liquid test kit and post results of your ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and pH. Could be ich, gill flukes, skin flukes, velvet, costia, trichodina, etc.

oh wow it could be alot of things didnt expect that well about how many changes should i do a week ?and ill post the test results wen i get the test in the mean time should i do anything else as in raise the temperture or anything else ?

Without knowing what really the problem is, don't raise the temperature. I'd do daily water changes for now by 15-20%. Test asap. If you ask your LFS to test for you, make them write the results instead of commenting it is fine, etc.

any results yet. We just had ours scraped, and we have tric. But I treated with potasium permangenate, and hope it clears up. We have sturgeon, but I added tons of extra air, and Im afraid im just hoping for the best. It was a case of treat the whole pond now, or risk losing all our prise koi, im afriad the koi had to come first. I just hope the sturgeon will be ok...
