Another lesson to be learn. Never place decoration in a tank that may be questionable for fish to find it's way out. Visually I see that the cave was big enough for my 10" polli to wiggle it way out. I guess from a fish eye they do not have that kind of perception. I was looking for my polli all day today and I figure I would do investigation to see if it's dead. I do not want the body to rot and result in a amonia spike. I lifted the cave out of the tank and shake it gently to try to get the fish out. 5 mins spent on trying to wiggle a fish out with two fingers inside a cave. The fish is stucked in there all tight so I had to react quick to save the polli. Took my plier and rip open the resin cave and finally got the polli out. Threw him back into the tank and the fish went into a shock frenzy. The polli swim right into the tank glass and I hear a "BOINK". 5mins later the fish settle down so I went out to make the cave hole bigger and file down the rough edges. Stick it back into the tank to reuse.
