Just brought home 2 baby silver arowanas. They are now in a 40 gal hex with a Dinosaur Eel about 5", an Afican Black Knife fish 3", and a transparent Knife fish about 6". Wecome to the knew community. They look like they are in great health. So far so good....

We'll see how the community grows.. Thanks for watching...

A few words of wisdom. Make sure your tank lid is 100% sealed, these guys jump. They will thrive if you can provide pristine water with nitrates bleow 10ppm. Baby aros are fragile, it is best to keep them without other tankmates until they are 5 to 6". A pair of aros only works about 33% of the time so if they fight you will need to separate. Good first food for baby aros is freeze dried blood worms.

Good luck raising these guys and I hope you are prepared for how fast they will grow.

keep lid closed at all time, shouldnt have tankmates if there to small, they cant defend themselfs at a small size, feed it black/bloodworm until its 5-6" then expand its food menu

Ensure that there is enough space or maybe you can add some floating plants.
Keeping 2 arowanas together might not be a good idea.
Experts suggest either one or maybe about 4/5 is the tank is big.
ANyway all the best and do let us know how the babies grow.
