middle of nowhere
ok here it is i got this beautiful fish (distochodus sexfaciatus sorry if incorrect) that keeps on beating up on all the other fish in my tank. my two pacus are scared, red tailed shark beat up and bala missing some scales. is there any way to calm him down or take a trip to the lfs? or let him visit long beach *FLUSH!!* ... jk i really enjoy this fish as it is very nice looking but is it really worth giving up my tank to accomadate him. he does not mess with my arowana but i was thinking of getting another mean fish to hang with him but i am afraid of them messing with the aro as they tend to freak and jump and splash... ect so i am stumped on this fish... what the hell should i do as i am frustrated with him and i feel like feeding him to my chickens sometimes...lol sell him? keep him? rearrange? more aggresive fish?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

feed him more lol... maybe put him in another tank.

ok i just read what you have in that tank... no wonder why your fish are crabby. you need a bigger tank

you could buy another tank for him and place him in solitary or trade him off at your lfs. isn't it amazing how one bad apple truly can spoil the whole bunch. that's my greatest fear with the hobby . . . buying a fish that destroys the neighborhood (Smile). i feel your pain.

I would try putting him in another tank. That's what I did with my convict.. although some how he is still alive in the other tank with my turtles.. who would have guessed. But since the move he has gotten bigger and the color has increased immensity, and the pictus travel the tank more freely now that he is gone.
