Just wondering if the 5gallon buckets from Home Depot are fish safe, I figure they are but its always best to double check, need to move fish and they will probably be in the buckets for a couple hours 3-4 at most with air stones.
absolutely! just make sure not to leave water in them once your done ie dry them out. If there is water left in them and you stack the buckets on top of one another then it just leads to nasty buckets/algae/sadness. As a precaution, I dont know if the buckets im using were used for my marine tanks last, I rinse them out with boiling water before using them for water changes. But to answer your question YES they are safeJust wondering if the 5gallon buckets from Home Depot are fish safe, I figure they are but its always best to double check, need to move fish and they will probably be in the buckets for a couple hours 3-4 at most with air stones.
sounds like funAlright cool, cuz previously I'd been using old cat litter buckets that soaked for a couple weeks in hot water and never had a problem but I'm outta buckets, and I gotta move my indoor pond my 2 55s my salt tank and my 30 =/. So I got a chore ahead of me.
