For a lack of better words....they can be so personable, smarter then they get credit for,and more aware of their surroundings than most people understand. That’s why we get attached to them over time right? ..anyhow

I acquired wild caught angels a week ago today...the tank is in a busy area of the house and I’ve been telling the kids, husband everyone...don’t be too loud! You’ll scare the fish and kill them!

Another uncommon hobby of mine (I don’t know many people that keep fish, haha) is I play violin. I came home from practice today and I forgot my own “be quiet or you’ll kill my wild caught angels rule!” And started playing in the main living area....by the tank.

I look over a while later and they all are at the side of the tank....watching and “dancing”.

Feel free to share why you love keeping fish moment!

Cute and oscar and not two words I usually put together but that is a sweet looking oscar!

I just love how clever and inquisitive fish are capable of being!

That is true. I had some Citrinellums several years ago and they were pretty engaging, but Oscars seem to be more personable than some dogs, and definitely more personable than cats.

I wouldn’t doubt if an Oscar didn’t make their way into our house at some point. My one child has the fish keeping bug too....I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t have a pond of monster fish of his own by his teens.
