Hey i wanted to get tinfoil barbs for my 90 gallon tank. I have the requirements for keeping them (did research before hand) i just wanted to know if they can be kept with the following: Red tail black shark, opaline gourami, fire eel, black ghost knife, serpae tetra and clown pleco.

Red tailed shark can be pretty nasty. And the fire eel will outgrow the 90. How many barbs are you getting?

yah i know, but hes quite the fish so i dont mind lol. would the barbs be okay with him?

I was planning on getting 4-5 of them.

Yah i know that, im moving out of my house this year and when i settle in im getting big tank mainly for the eel. he is still quite young.

that's quite a few big barbs for a tank that size, but in terms of compatibility I don't think the serpae tetra should be in there. Other than that, I feel like the knife is too passive for a tank with big active fish like the barbs, so if it were me I wouldn't mix them.

4-5 is a lot of soon to be 12-14 inch Tins for a 90.
