Ill try to make this short and sweet....I have a 75 gallon freshwater tank. Tested the H2O this morning and ph-7.0 0 ammonia temp 76
I have 2 large goldfish (my main concern) , 6 tetras, 2 algae eaters(another main concern) (not sure of the type) and one angel fish. I already know that the angel fish and the goldfish are not compatible but I would like to do whats best for them all from this point. One of the tetras has been very still since it was brought home (didn't quarantine) I am still learning.... but after a close examination of the little guy, i noticed that he dosen't have "lips" I have learned that this may be mouth rot. I treated the tank last night with tetra fungus guard but only kept the filers out for about 12 hours... I added 4 tablespoons of aquarium salt to the tank when I set it up (Tuesday). I just bought some Melafix and plan on adding that to the tank tonight. Does it sound like I am on a path to healthy fish? I really love my fish, I have had the algae eaters and the gold fish for over 2 years now.
