I reacently changed my fish tank from black and blue gravel to white sand and all of my cichlids seem to have lost most of their bright color. Does anyone know what happened do they just loose some color when they are stressed?
Fish color fade? awnsers?

I think the white sand just washed out your cichlids colors not because of stress. Most cichlid are usually brighter in dark color gravel.
damn well i lowered the amount of light in the tank like 30 minutes ago and one of them seem to be a bit brighter.
Yep, the white will wash them out. I had black gravel, black background when I first got my FH, I changes it to blue and his pink stands out more. The colour of the gravel and background really does affect your fish.
