Fish color stress

Do most fish turn light when they get stress.

Yeah. They can also be 'lighter' if they aren't getting the proper diet.

Many do, yes. Some also get dark when they're stressed, and/or show barring that isn't visible normally.

yes. if you go to the pleco section then you will see a post near the top showing a stressed pleco. gives you an idea of what it looks like compared to disease.

^^^ agree with each of the posters above. but, if they aren't discolored for long, it could be change in blood flow due to change in temp, or sleeping... but for extensive changes it's exactly what they've all said
