Hi guys! :)

Im after some advice, I have a 5ft tank in which i keep 2 Tiger oscars (9"), a breeding pair of jack dempseys (4 and 2"), a synodontis (7"), a plec (12") and a blue lobster (8") and i have been offered a wolf fish in exchange for my jack dempseys, im happy to take on the wolf as my dempseys have given up breeding now that the oscars have outgrown them lol

The tank is very aggressive (obviously) even the plec will fight the oscars and they all stay well away from the lobster since his pincers are massive

The tank is decorated with a couple of plastic plants, bogwood and a 'cave' made from a broken terracotta pot. It has a sand base and a massive external canister filter. The tank is 2 years old and the water is perfect :D

So my question is how well would a 10"+ wolf fish get on in my tank? I know they can be aggressive towards smaller fish, all of mine are on par size wise with him and im sure they can get away, im more concerned about my lobster.....

Any advice is greatly apprieciated.....oh and i wasnt sure where to post this lol

cheers!

I figure the Wolffish is a either Hoplias malabaricus or Hoplias aimara. I wouldn't, too muc risk for your current fish. Maybe if it was an Erythrinus.

Thankyou for your reply, I shall find out its latin name and let you know whic one it is :)

Just wanted to let you know that i wont be taking on the wolf as it is apparently taking out the 3 11" Oscars its homed with :WHOA:

Thanks for the heads up!
