I have 60G and its my first ever tank. It has black gravel as substrate and I'm currently in the market for driftwood or some sort of display and hiding areas for the fish.
I do not know anything about compatibility and I tend to purchase fish depending if I want it. I drop by 3 LFS and see what they have and if I want any fish that they have.
I would like to know other member's opinion regarding the compatibility of my fishes. Their sizes range from 1.5 inch for the smaller datnoid up to 6 inches for the royal clown. My current fish are:
1 clown knife
1 royal clown knife
1 red belly pacu
1 peacock bass
1 manguense
1 small generic pleco
2 indo datnoids
1 ugly ass catfish
I removed my managuense because he is nipping on all the other fishes and is the most aggressive. He is also a pig! He eats as much as he can and when he is already full, he simply kills the feeders in the tank. I guess he was the king of the tank (if its a male). He is now in my feeder tank by himself. So if anyone wants to purchase a 4 inch managuense, throw me some offers.Managuense is now by itselfand guess who emerged as the new king... The peacock bass suddenly becomes too aggressive. He was the main fish that the manguense was picking on and now he's vowing revenge on the other fishes. I'm contemplating selling him as well. He is around 4 inches.
So, did I make a mistake in my stocking decisions? Which should I get rid of? Keep?
On a side note, I know my tank is too small but once the fishes are too big for the tank, off they go to the LFS for a trade.
Photos will be posted as soon as my sister finds her camera
