Is there such a thing as fish expos? And if not why not I mean there's reptile expos and no one has a problem with those some of them even sell venomous reptiles. It would be pretty cool if there were fish expos though

Yes, there are fish expos, fish shows, fish auctions, fish conventions. Some are run by national association such as the American Cichlid Association (ACA), American Livebearers Association (ALA), American Killifish Association (AKA) , to name a few. Other events are run by local tropical fish clubs. Here is a link to the Northeast Council of Aquarium Societies http://northeastcouncil.org/nec/ . You should be able to find a club near you.
