Really? i didn't know that....

Should try wit some experiments later...

I found the article interesting since my jag is a real hard ass. He loves to attack me and the tank glass when I'm near it. But if I take a mirror and hold it up to him he backs off like a wuss.

Really? My jag almosts hurts himself/my tank going after his reflection.

He actually did attack his reflection the day I put a black background on my 120. After a day or so he got bored with it. Here are some pics of him flaring up and attacking his reflection. His lip is kind of scared from attacking stuff buy hey, he is almost 10 years old.

Male bettas do that. I knew a guy who would place a mirror in his betta tank and watch his male become defensive and flare up his gill covers and fins and try to attack his own reflection.

My Oscar will attack the glass, esp. with the tank lights on and the room lights off. When I changed the gravel to sand the tank had a bare bottom and my Oscar thrashed at the bottom so hard he forced water out of the tank with the lids on...out of a 24" deep tank.
People on here have said fish dont see their reflections but I disagree.

Phillydog, that sounds interesting....i might have to try it just to get my betta moving. he has become very lazy in the past 3 months, I need something to try and get him active again.
