will a fishes fins regrow or regenerate if they are nipped at or attacked. is there anything i can do to elp or speed up this process.

I think adding salt and raising the temp would help keep infections and bacterias away. to promote regrowth of tissue

use aquarium salt, about 9~18tbsp, and do a good sized water change.

Its extremely common for a fish to have split fins or peices missing. In a healthy tank, a week is all that is needed. No chemicals are needed. Let nature heal itself without the addition of foriegn things.

Interesting. I usually don't suggest salt and while it does help, there is no need to add it. Plenty of water changes alone should suffice.
