fish flakes vs. pellets

do discus prefer flakes or pellets?
i can't really see discus eatin flakes with that round body
but people being tellin me their discus prefer flakes, and also it seems flakes would be much cleaner than pellets since flakes b floatin on top

My discus love flakes.For some reason they dont seem to go after the pellets at all.

i think they would peffer flakes when young and pellets when older.

Mine eat both. The Hikuri sticks sink fast so they don't get many because the loaches get them but, I also feed flakes, which they love too.

Huh? What does this mean?

Discus will eat anything provided they are already accustomed to certain types of foods.

Mine eat anything that goes in the tank. Including my fingers
