An Oscar would be WAY to big for that tank unless your thinking of just a grow out tank. Oscars are better suited for a 75g. You can get a pair of Convicts and breed some feeders or maybe other small cichlids or a community tank.

What are you looking for? A single aggressive fish, several smaller schooling aggressives, community, planted?

I think i want a single agresive fish.I found one website that said a 30 gallon was minimum for a single oscar what about a big firemouth or a jack demsey. The guy at the fish store claims a 30 will hold 2 oscars.. hes got two big ones in a 20 gallon tank. Some kind of big cichlid maybey.

Ummmm....You didn't include a picture of the 55g, right? You speak of a 55g and a 30g, but you posted a pic of a 30g or 20T with a 10g

Post the measurements of your tanks and one of us will do the conversions for you.

A pair of salvinis (depending on dimensions)

Looks like a 20T.

I'd say for an aggressive fish try a leaf fish. The convict idea would be a good one to use to feed your puffer. They aren't really carnivorous, but they are aggressive.

Dont know too much about leaf fish would have to look it up but i think ill go with one big jack demsey if the oscar is too big heres some onfo i found....http://badmanstropicalfish.com/profiles/profile29.html says a 3O gallon is complete minimum.

Those comments are just from random people who are looking at the site. If you look in the actual profile it states a minimum length of 48 inches or larger which is gonna be a 55 gal. Those comments should always be taken with a grain of salt. I actually wish sites didn't have those because I have seen some really crazy things written on those. The site should at least have somebody check them anyways to make sure that incorrect info does not go around like that.
