fish for a 48x12x18

hi guys & girls,

Ok, i have gave my kid bro one of my old tanks (48x12x18), plus everything he needs to run it. He wants a predatory fish that he can keep in this tank for life.
Any ideas?? (He does want a Gar like mine, but i have advised him away from that because his flat is not big enough).

you could probly do a small piranha community in that 55 with good filtration...

I have Ctenopoma acutirostre in my smaller tank. They are very cool predatory fish that stay pretty small and are a blast to watch eat.
