My 75g S.E. Asian set up is moving to a bigger tank and I have no ideas yet for when it will be emptied.

I would like something that would be happy there for life, maybe a Green Terror or an Armoured Bichir. I also thought of a Pink-tailed Chalceus but their "speed" would be wasted on a 75g. Also considering a puffer.
One big one will be good, or maybe 3 good sized ones.

Some suggestions please :)

-Not sure what or how many Bichirs..
-6 African Butterfly Fish
-1 Paratilapia Bleekari\Polleni

maybe a chocolate cichlid and a sev,or some large schooling fish ( giant danios, buenos aires tetras)AND one ofthe previously stated cichlids

Sounds good, although the African Butterfly Fish are hard to come by; I see one every three months. I'm a patient guy though. Would I have to collect the six AFBs first? Will one AFB survive with the bichir and polleni in there?

I actually have a 240 with severums and schooling fish already :)
But, that's a good idea nonetheless

What about a bichir (if one can live in a 75g for live, I know nothing about them and if there are some that could live in a 75g get that one), a male GT.

I believe the Armoured Bichir can stay in a 75g. I like to keep the fish from the same area/continent though so I can't have both.

I like the thought of an African theme.

Not African cichlids however!

The Bichir is a good choice along with a school of Congo tetras, African butterfly fish, African knife, and maybe a synodontis cat.

The armoured bichir size from the sticky in that forum section says they get to about 14 inches so I would say go for it
