I’m thinking about putting a large fountain on my porch and would like to put a few fish in it. My question is what fish could handle these temps if any.
Average Outside temps will be -
summer is 95/65f
Winter is 45/20f- I think I can keep it from freezing but water will be in the mid 30s
Spring and fall 75/45f
Smaller fish only -2-4”
Thanks for any input

Rosy Reds! One of the most underrated fish out there. Stay small, eat anything, breed like mice, show up well when observed from above, interesting behaviour (spawn almost like cichlids), cheaper than dirt. Will survive hot summer weather, as well as spending several months under thick ice during winter. Terrific little guys. :)

"Dry heat or humid?"

Better find out if the OP is left- or right-handed while we're at it...:)

Will it be shaded at all or just directly in the sun during those summer temps? Dry heat or humid?

Also, how colorful are you thinking?
Shade and sunny depending on time of day and dry except during monsoon season. Color isn’t really important, just want a little active in the bottom portion
