Fish got picked on, HELP

So i got this goliath yesterday, put it in a tank with gator gar and the gar bit it 2 times
Got the gar 2 days ago and it refuses to eat anything (goldfish, guppies, brine shrimp, raw shrimp) but it keeps trying to bite my goliath
Here is picture of the goliath and the scar, is it repairable?

thats a young one. put some melafix in and a water change.

Actually that was the first bite picture, it has now got bit 3 times and the scar is way worse than this
I moved it to an empty 20g tank and put some furan-2. i also changed the temp to 80.
Is it okay to put melafix after the furan-2?

Do the bites look infected right now? Because Furan-2 is a very strong anti-bacterial that will add a lot of extra strain onto a weakened fish. If the bites don't look infected use a carbon filter and do a large water change to get that out and just use Melafix which helps heal wounds + 1 tbsp/10g.

that sounds great. but is is possible to put melafix without the water change tho? i don't want to stress the fish any further
