So a few of my fish seem to be growing quite slowly. I've had them for roughly 5-6 months. My rubbernose pleco has only grown maybe 1/2 to 3/4th of an inch (prolly not that much tho). My leopard bush fish has grown an inch and my peacock eel about 2 inches. Does this seem normal?

maybe you should check your water parameters. Especially oxygen deficiency and high nitrates may cause fish growth to slow.

as stated above check water, then feed multiple times a day, the pleco must have veggies every couple days. btw i think the rubbernose only gets 6 inchs so dont expect much growth.

also with some fish water flow also effects growth, so add a couple powerheads. to my knowledge no studies have been done on ornamental fishes so i couldnt tell you how important flow is to your exact fish. the studies i have seen on flowrate are almost always on food fish

well i dont have the money or knowledge for power heads. I change the water 35% twice a week. What veggies can i feed the pleco? Romaine lettuce maybe? Ive always just fed him sinking pellets/bloodworms/wafers.

Water changes don´t automatically mean that your oxygen levels are good. Do you airate the tank? Plecos love zucchini and cucumber. You can also try whatever you think the pleco might like. You just have to add some weight so that the vegies stay on the bottom.
