Fish Herpes?

Ive never heard of fish getting herpes (that was just a joke). But on a serious matter i woke up today and my Pbass has a white spot on his lip. Ive seen fish with this before but never this bad or on a bass. Can anyone help me with any treatments i could do to get rid of it? Or is this thing for life? Im doing the obvious salt and water changes but i just want to know if its treatable. I know its not life threatening for the bass but its and eye sore and i feel like it bothers him.

It could possible be. But i wouldn't really call him skittish. He comes up to great me and beg for food every time i walk passed the tank.

I actually have some Gouramis that have this same lip problem, and he actually ended up spending some time with them. Im thinking that whatever it is, he caught it from them.

Looks like a fungal infection from a wound. On pbass wounds on the lips are common from begging and hitting the glass. Just add some salt and keep an eye on it.
