First thing I do when I get up every morning is to check on the aquariums/fish, a lot can happen in a few hours. As I came to the third tank I seen the lids that appeared to have fell inside, I thought maybe the big cichlids got a little rowdy over night. I look on top and there is was, both braces broke off. I looked down the length on the tank and it's not really bowing, no leaks anywhere. I then drained it to take the pressure off, now looking for a 220 brace.

Not sure what exactly you plan on doing for a brace, but my O’Dell tank has a glass brace about 16” wide siliconed to the front and back panes.

Here are some pictures of what I’m talking about:

The tank was made that way from the factory. I think it would be a good way for you to fix your 220. Get a piece of 1/2”-3/4” glass cut to the right width and silicone it in place. You will have to figure out something for lids. I just cut pieces out of plexiglass to fit on my tank. It should be quite a bit stronger than the original braces that you had.

At least you didn’t wake up to a blown out 220 all over your floor. It definitely could have been a LOT worse.

That sucks man. Until you get a permanent fix in place you could grab a couple bar clamps and place them across the top.
Is the plan to replace the frame or just add euro style bracing?

I've been looking all over, no luck so far. Looked on CL for broken tanks or cheap tanks, called a few places, LFS, posted to some local FB groups, etc. Hopefully one will turn up, the bad thing is, I had this tank sold. Now I need to swap this tank with my other 220 and get two 265's in here ASAP. Would like to fix this in the garage if I go the euro route. Hoping for a frame.

That's close! I'd say get some glass cut and put a new brace in. At least it didn't break!

I had an 8gal leak on my desk while I was studying last night. Not a pleasant experience

What a nightmare it is to have to drain and remove everything from a tank that size because of something like this. Looks good though!!

I would get some glass cut and just brace it from the sides and the middle. Should be pretty simple. Your lucky no fish were hurt and no water on the floor

I would just get a piece of glass and brace it like my 220 was braced in the pictures above. That is going to be your easiest, and strongest option.
