is this a regular midevil or a barred midas? got it a couple weeks ago and hasnt peeled yet. the bars is whats confusing me. also male or female?
 
Hmm either a barred or amarillo imho. No telling with freaking amphilophus though especially from a lfs or something if that's the case. Also looks female to "me".

Chancho's, hoga's, reg barred, & amarillo look pretty similar at that size to me. I'm by no means an amph expert though. Maybe some of the amph freaks will chime in for you.

Alright thanks. I just picked the biggest one out of the group. Be pretty cool if it wasn't a midevil. Never had a chancho/Amarillo/barred Midas before

If it was the biggest most aggressive then chances are it's a male. It's definitely different I like the look of it. Good score if it's a amarillo or chancho.
 
Hoping it's a male watever it is. Have a feeling female just because it has a little rounded belly but it might be because it's a slob and it's everything and anything
