Fish id? Charachin?

Just came across this little guy at a lfs, was an unkown trade in, seems to have gill curl and i felt sorry for him in with lots of larger fish inc 5 inch green terror and neon jewels!

cheers matey, i think your right, nice size at 2inch and has some mean little teeth, maybe i could put him with my betta? are they aggressive?

They are a bit nippy. May nip on the Betta. The only thing that maybe of concern is the gill flare. Could be a sick fish.

well i will keep him elsewhere then, cost virtually nothing so i will give him a chance, i have a loada meds on hand. looks like a mini paraya!-)

Yea when looks normal. They remind of mini dorados.
