Been catching these like crazy here on the ipswich river in Mass. Are these creek chubs?

Also, whatever these are, do they need to be kept in schools or could one do fine singly in the home aquarium?

Sweet yeah it looks exactly like em, how well do they do in captivity? Cuz i brought 3 home theyre all about 7-8 inches and i acclimated then to my 125 gallon native tank which at the moment only has the 3 fallfish and a black crappie ive had for a year. The crappie is currently like 11 inches and doesnt even give the fallfish a second look.

They are fairly easy to take care of no special requirements, and a easy to pellet train. I would keep them in a school if possible.
Nice! Yeah the 3 i have seem to be doing quite well, they eat bloodworms and mysis shirmp like champs, and im gonna start working on pellets. They shouldnt have any issues with the crappie and vise versa right?

Your concerns about the crappie would be the food. These fallfish are very greedy eaters and are very quick to get the foods before the crappie do.
