fish ID help please...

sorry the pics are'nt so good but i dunno what this fish is. its not exactly a monster , well i guess it could be?!?its about 4.5 in. it was a rescue from a freind ,who did'nt know what it was either. one person said tiretrack eel but i dont think so. another said wolffish but it has barbs on its mouth so i am thinking some sort of cat or something. thanks for any help!!!

Maybe a weather loach....

Pretty sure it is one of the Lepidocephalichthys genus, probably a guntea, there are several color variants.
