I had this tank for a jardini I had bought but unfortunatly, after some much needed TLC, I found him bell up the other morning.

I went off to the LFS between classes yesterday and picked up these 2 tinfoil/carp looking fish and was curious what they were exactly.

Also, how's the scape look? I wanted to have something nice to look at without taking up too much swimming room.

The pot seems out of place...especially if your not adding any other fish since those (barbs?) wouldn't fit in there anyway

I'm not keeping on just these guys, I just haven't decided what to keep in this tank and the carp seemed like they needed a new home. I've bred lots of CA/SA cichlids so I feel comfortable with a clay pot always being in the tank lol

look like albino tinfoils to me

I see some with black eyes and some with red eyes. I think the red eyes are called albino tinfoils and the black eyes are called golden Tinfoils, I am not positive about it. The black eyes are probably leucistic. It has something the do with the genes that control skin pigment. Cool fish whatever it is.

Oh alright, thanks for clearing that up. I didn't mean to sound rude, I guess it's the same circumstance as people call leucistic oscars "albino".
