Fish ID...no idea

Hello everyone...I got this guy for free from the LFS (gotta love perks of a frequent customer). It has been in a tank by itself for months. Came in listed as a red sunfish from singapore but I don't see any info on that. Was much redder before but now has some bluish cheeks. Please let me know if you have any ideas so I can make sure to take of it correctly. Thanks

Aww green sunfish I got some out a feeder tank for like 12 cent each I didn't know what they were for a long time until tropical fish hobbiest had them on the cover
