fish id please

theres a small lake more like swamp that is full of these and its the only place i catch them at what are they? here is a pic. thanks in advance

i have never heard of a dutch riet voom. ill have to check them out and welcome to mfk

i want to say, golden shiner

Definitely a golden shiner. They are the only native cyprinid with such a long anal fin. You should also be able to see a keel on the belly. Looks like a decent-sized one. They can get to about 14".

yes indeed golden shiners. ive boughten them before at bait shops around 3 inches but never took the time to really look at them and say to myself these are the same thing i catch in the swamp but smaller. plus i wouldnt have thought they got that big. thanks guys
