Ok no idea about this one.....

Can somebody id? thanks

phone picture the best I could do, sorry about that. I could take more if needed.

nice snook... looks fatter than a normal swordspine snook though, maybe fat snook , not sure? but snook for sure!

Thanks! A snook eh? I thought it was a saltwater only fish. The tank is fresh. Any info? Will it last in fresh?

swordspine can be full fresh and will grow to 12"(?) .

but i'm not sure since the photo angle is weird, seems like it got a taller body than a swordspine should, so it might actually be another specie of snook.

but even if it is not swordspine ( ie. fat snook, common snook ) , those do make it to freshwater and have heard of them thriving in freshwater their entire life.

* sold to u as a peacock eh? u prob got a good deal, really fun oddball fish that not many keep/ appreciate :)

Yeah I had them before but one of my dats killed them. They seem to have jumped in price from a few years ago.

haha these mellow shy lil guys .... even dats can kill em eh? i believe the price jump is due to pickup in popularity as wes n jeff brought some in ... maybe? dunno

great fish nonetheless
