That is what they look like when they are juvenile. Males change color when they mature

Definitely a borleyi. They get big.

Yeah web site said 8 inches and grow decently fast. I have a 55 gallon that has 2 busted sides. I was thinking I could cut some plywood to size. Water proof it. Silicone it all in and boom have a spare tank. I plan to have end the end atleast a 75ish gallon show tank. Then when I hit that lottery ill have my 500ish gallon for a vampire fish. The armathus or something. But considering I don't play - that might be a while. Also. My lfs has a couple green terror. I'm pretty sure that's a sa/ca thing. So can one of those go with what I have now?

sa/ca have different water chemistry requirements than africans. i wouldn't do it.
