at the LFS they have a fish that looks like a nile perch or barramundi and i cant tell the difference...the supplier labeled it as a "sea bass". any ideas?

We got in barramundi (Lates calcifer) as a "Sea Bass" or something similar once...mixed and released them in to the Saltwater section of the store, only to discover a week later while visiting the supplier they were being kept in freshwater! Adaptable fish...
most stores won't carry nile perch.
i'm 100% sure it'd be a barramundi. nile perch also costs about 8x more than a barramundi.

I have seen barramundi on lists as 'sea bass' Im gonna bet its a mundi...How much is it?

usually sea bass are barramundi.
sea bass is the name restaurants use for them.
ive only seen nile perch once and it was about 50 USD.
