Fish ID?

Hey everybody,

I am helping a friend give away his fish because he is moving. When I called the petstore to make sure that it would be ok to bring them in, the lady told me she didn't take cichlids.

I went over to see the fish, and took pictures of them, and I saw this fish. It's owner says it's aggressive.

I'm pretty sure it's a cichlid, but I don't know what kind. It's a few years old, and that's all the information I have on it...could someone ID this fish for me?

It's a cichlid, call me out on this, still earning the way baby fish look, but I think a flower horn?

I had to google that because I really have no clue about these fish...but maybe...it's in a kind of messy tank, it has a few tankmates, two black tetras, a chinese algae eater, and a mickey mouse platy

Well, it needs a home, so it's up for adoption.

Any ideas on if it's male or female? It has a red spot on the dorsal fin...does that mean anything?

its a firemouth, maybe sb maybe stunted?

Yeah, it's about 3-4 inches long, maybe longer...didn't have anything to measure it with.
