caught him in an estuary, put him in a brackish tank...what is this thing? keeping conditions?

It looks like a wolf fish or maybe a type of goby (because of the fin after it's dorsal, wolfs don't seem to have those on the ones I have looked at), do not what type because it isn't my thing but that should give you a basis for research.

It's a Water Cow Goby. They get like 18" and eat fish. Generally you shouldn't take fish home that you cant ID, especially wild ones.
 
i WAS gonna feed him to my tsn but he looked like a hoplias so i decided to keep him...thanks for the replys though
 
Does the brackish tank already have other fish in it? If so, you can't just put it back in the wild without possibly cross contaminating the pathogens between captive bred and wild caught fish.
 
its alone in the tank...im trying to pellet train him, but it was deemed "highly carnivorous"...is pellet training even possible?
