So I went to the bait shop to get my fish some minnows as a little snack last night. They ate most of them but there were still a few left. Today I look in the tank and there was this little guy on the bottom. ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1347651428.453773.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1347651443.973343.jpg

I'm not really sure what it is but I figured someone would probably know. I tried looking it up and I thought it looked like a least darter but I wasn't sure. It doesn't really swim much other then when it's startled. It basically sits on the bottom and when it does move it kinda crawls along the substrate.

I feed my darters, frozen glassworms (mosquito larva), and chopped up shrimp and crawfish. They'll eat live scuds (amphipods) too if you can find or breed them (they'll probably eat them and gammarus frozen or dried too), and other small water crustaceans or bugs.

I've fed darters chopped up earthworms in the past also.

A couple of mine will eat omega one reef flake or small pellets too, but most of them don't like flakes.

I hate to say this but this is not a swamp darter or Johnny darter. It's an Iowa darter.

I agree looks like an Iowa Darter.
