I bought this at Gerber's yesterday, I've been looking at it the past few weeks. They sold it to me as a "Festae", which I know it's not. I also bought another "Festae" a few weeks ago and it's actually a Mayan.

I was thinking either a Barred Midas or very low possibility of a Hogaboomorum.

What do you all think?

Top is the Mayan, bottom is the?

Looks like a barred Midas but I don't have enough experience with hoga to say it isn't one

+1. Looks like a barred Midas or Amarillo. Hogas usually have more browns/tans on them.

These look like 2 different fish. The 1st one looks Mayan and 2nd looks like a barred Midas. It's hard to tell because they are so dark. Mayans typically have a larger eye spot on the tail than any amph I believe. Not 100% certain though.

That's because they are, the one in question is the fish on the bottom, the top is a Mayan.

That Mayan looks huge. How big is he or she? Its a nice one. I still want to say the 2nd is a barred midas.

Not that big, a good 10-11" or so, would love to go to Florida and catch a wild one
