Fish ID

I'm looking for a freshwater fish that has coloration similar to a clown loach or tiger barb but it isn't either of those fish. I've seen them a few time but only by their Latin name which I cannot recall. When I do see them the are rather pricey about $36 USD for a 3 inch fish. They are not a loach. Sorry I wish I had more info.

Well, not much help with that information
You probably just use google and might find the right one since you're only one knew exactly what to look for!
The fish right tag quite meant nothing to us cause fish pricing different from each areas.

Hope you don't mind me using your thread HH, since you've figured out your fish. I've been wanting to ask about a fish I've seen a few years back. Iirc, it had a body kinda like a bass. It actually scared me when it flared at me, cause it's gills, if that's what they are came down and to its sides, moreso than a Firemouth. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
