Stopped in local fish store and of course this one was in the “mixed” African tank so I know there is no way to definitely ID but I am stumped on what it could possibly be. Everything else in the tank was mbuna. Or buying it just curious what it could be. Any help is appreciated. The smaller fish.

Isn’t there more of a lateral line present on RE as juvenile?

Looks like a Fossorochromis rostratus, if so, that's a nice find in a mixed tank. Hope you have a big tank if it is.

Thanks James. That looks like a good possibility. I didn’t grab it but was interested in what it could be. It was under $5
