Distichodus lusosso is in the top 3 jerks ever in my entire experience so far, right along with Distichodus sexfaciatus and purple labeo aka Labeo congoro. Can be housed only with some big and aggressive tank mates (or the small and agile as in the OP pic).

What are you bringing me into it for, it's already been identified, lol. It's definitely a distochodus.

When juvenile they're gorgeous, check out pic in post #5. But as they mature they're possibly one of the most drab fish in the hobby, they lose all their markings and colour and go dark grey/black.

I wanted one years ago so I did my research, and not only did their mature appearance put me off, but as they get older they become absolute ********s too, as Victor alluded to.

I've never looked at them since.
